Professor Bingenheimer's interests are in the areas of social epidemiology, social determinants of health-related behaviors, and quantitative methods for studying all of these.
Professor Elmi's research interests include data analysis issues for repeated measurement and longitudinal data, as well as mixed effects models.
Dr. Gray's primary research interests center around risk characterization, risk communication, and risk policy. He has published on the scientific bases of human health risk assessment, and the ways in which policy considerations influence the risks addressed by regulatory agencies.
Professor Horton's health policy expertise includes Medicare, Medicaid, welfare and Social Security old age and disability assistance, and cardiovascular disease and health policy.
Dr. LaPuma's research currently focuses on lifecycle assessment of the air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions associated with various sustainable energy strategies, with particular attention to economic payback analyses. His interests also lie in the areas of climate change, sustainable energy and industrial hygiene.
With expertise in emergency care, hospital operations research, and research design and epidemiology, Dr. Pines' research interests include emergency department crowding, hospital quality, and diagnostic testing.
Professor Reed's expertise and formal training lie in the area of social epidemiology and research methods, specifically focused on gender-based interpersonal violence prevention and HIV/AIDS.
