Doug Evans, Ph.D.
Professor, Department of Prevention and Community Health and Department of Global Health.
Evans directs the Public Health Communications and Marketing Program.
Karen McDonnell, PhD
Associate Professor, Department of Prevention and Community Health
McDonnell is the program director of the Doctor in Public Health Program in Health Behavior.

Julie DeLoia, PhD
Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
Professor, Exercise Science
Dr. DeLoia earned her PhD in human genetics. As a cancer geneticist, she brings a new area of expertise and potential curriculum to the School of Public Health and Health Services.
Mimi Ghosh, PhD, MS
Assistant Professor, Epidemiology & Biostatistics
Dr. Ghosh earned her PhD in infectious diseases and microbiology and has been involved in researching protection against HIV-1.
Sara Glick, PhD, MPH
Assistant Professor, Epidemiology & Biostatistics
Dr. Glick joins us from the University of Washington where her research focused on HIV/STD epidemiology.
Jay Graham, PhD, MBA, MPH
Assistant Professor, Environmental and Occupational Health with secondary appointment in the department of Global Health
Dr. Graham's specialty is in international water supply, sanitation and hygiene development. He brings expertise to SPHHS in the field of global environmental health.
Robert Graham, MD
Research Professor, Health Policy
Dr. Graham is the National Program Director of the Aligning Forces for Quality Programs (AF4Q). This national program is housed at GW.
Alfred Hamilton, PhD
Visiting Assistant Professor, Health Services Management and Leadership
A veteran of the Department of the Army Medical Service Corps, Dr. Hamilton had the opportunity to greatly impact healthcare operations and delivery in the military. He has most recently been involved in IT work for the US Department of Defense.
Cherise Harrington, PhD, MPH
Assistant Professor, Prevention and Community Health
Dr. Harrington is a Behavioral Scientist with an interest in chronic illnesses and racial/ethnic health disparities. Her research covers all factors including epidemiologic, psychological, and individual psychosocial.
Paula Lantz, PhD, MS, MA
Chair and Professor, Health Policy
Dr. Lantz joins SPHHS as the new Chair of the Department of Health Policy with expertise in the role of public health in health care reform, clinical preventive services, and social inequalities in health.
Ruth Lopert, MD, MS
Visiting Professor, Health Policy
Dr. Lopert's key research interests include pharmaceutical policy, comparative health policy and drug pricing.
Melissa McCarthy, ScD, MS
Associate Professor, Health Policy
Dr. McCarthy brings a great deal to the Department of Health Policy in terms of her research skills as a statistician and her extensive knowledge of emergency care and hospital health policy.
Mark McClelland, DNP, RN
Assistant Research Professor, Health Policy
Dr. McClelland’s areas of interest include performance measurement; quality improvement; hospital patient flow; and learning collaboratives.
Sheila K. McGinnis, PhD, MS
Visiting Associate Professor, Health Services Management and Leadership
Dr. McGinnis brings to SPHHS an expertise in organizational behavior and management of health services facilities and programs and health policy.
Melissa Perry, ScD, MHS
Professor & Chair, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health
Dr. Perry’s major research interests include pesticides, biomarkers and hormonal effects; agricultural injuries and exposures; and preventive interventions in occupational settings.
Naomi Seiler, JD
Associate Research Professor, Health Policy
Ms. Seiler has been working on public health legislation on Capitol Hill for the past 8 years.
Monique Turner, PhD
Associate Professor, Prevention and Community Health
Dr. Turner’s expertise includes health and health risk communications.
