James F. Cawley elected Acting Chair of the HRSA Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry (ACTPCMD)

On April 22nd, James F. Cawley, MPH, PA-C, Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Prevention and Community Health was elected as Acting Chair of the HRSA Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry (ACTPCMD). The Committee advises the HHS Secretary and Congress on a wide range of policy and program issues in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, and physician assistant programs. Cawley was a HHS Public Health Service Primary Care Fellow in 2003 and is a past president of PAEA. It is believed that he is the first PA to be elected Chair of the ACTPCMD.

Jeffrey Bingenheimer has been elected to the Omega Chapter of Delta Omega.

The GW Chapter of Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health is pleased to announce that it inducted new members at the SPHHS End of Year Celebration on Monday, May 10th, 2010.
