EOH Faculty

Faculty and staff in the Department have earned a national reputation as researchers and leaders in articulating how public health science is best used in regulatory decision-making, and are called on frequently by congressional committees, federal agencies, national scientific organizations, international public health entities, and the press to discuss environmental hazards and the policies addressing them.

Precarious Jobs and Depression in South Korean Women

A new study from Post-doctoral Scientist Seung-Sup Kim and colleagues finds that among South Korean women -- but not men -- changing to either permanent jobs or unemployment from temporary, hourly, or otherwise precarious jobs was associated with new-onset depressive symptoms. The study appears in the Scandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health.
