HSML 2007-2012 Objectives

  • Working in conjunction with faculty, review current residency selection processes and make recommendations for improvement and recruit new preceptors.
  • Review the current recruitment process and the alumni's role in the process and identify areas of improvement that will lead to improving the quality and number of students enrolled in the program.
  • Work with the Department Chair to review current curriculum and determine if new courses are required or current courses require refreshing.
  • Identify needs of the Association and department and develop a fund raising plan to satisfy these needs.
  •  Develop plans to increase involvement of members in Association activities.
  • Continue to develop and grow the Student Alumni Mentoring Program (SAMP).
  •  Review Bylaws to determine if sections require updates, as well as develop a roles and responsibilities statement for each officer.
  • Develop an orientation and training program for Board members
