Founded to provide a vehicle for constructive student involvement, recognition, and representation in the university and healthcare community, The George Washington University Health Services Management and Leadership Student Association acts as a liaison between the department and students. This student organization is also responsible for increasing the interaction between the student body and leading healthcare players in Washington, D.C., and its surrounding areas.
Meetings are held at the end of each month during the fall and spring semesters and membership is extended to all SPHHS graduate students with a management concentration (MHSA, MPH - Public Health Management, Specialist track, BS, and MBA with concentration in HSA). While not mandatory, membership is vital to a complete experience at GW. All current and incoming students are strongly encouraged to attend and take part in events, activities and projects designed to foster skills learned in the classroom.
